UKFPO Medical Students Board

The UKFPO Medical Students Board exists to encourage two-way communication between medical students and the UKFPO. It makes recommendations to the UKFPO about information required by medical students regarding the Foundation Programme in general and the recruitment process in particular

Membership comprises a final and penultimate year representative from each UK medical school and representative(s) from the BMA Medical Students’ Committee with the UKFPO providing secretarial support.

The membership for 2013/2014 will be available shortly.

Board meetings are held once a year in September. Between meetings, board members are kept informed via regular emails and monthly bulletins produced by the UKFPO's Medical Student Advisor.

Key Objectives

  • For the UKFPO to share information about developments in the Foundation Programme with medical students
  • For medical students to collaborate in the development of the recruitment process
