The UKFPO seeks to be a transparent organisation. It recognises the need for an appropriate balance between openness and maintaining the security and (where necessary) the confidentiality of the information which it holds.
The UKFPO is fully compliant with both the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) (2000) and the Data Protection Act (DPA) (1998) and has developed a number of policies designed to give you full details about our organisation, the type of information we hold, what we do with it and how to access it using current legislation.
This document describes who we are and what we do and contains such information as who we are, what we do, our governance structure, funding arrangements, committees and working groups.
Access to Information Held by UKFPO
If the UKFPO holds personal information about you, you are entitled to ask for a copy of this information. This document describes how the UKFPO will respond to and process requests for information it holds and which is covered by either the FOIA or DPA.
Our information governance strategy has been developed to ensure that the UKFPO achieves three aims in relation to the information which it holds. These are:
• Confidentiality of Personal Information
• Information Security
