NACT UK/UKFPO Sharing Good Practice Event: 13 June 2012

After the success of the last two years, the UKFPO along with NACT UK, are once again hosting a Sharing Good Practice event in London. We are currently accepting submissions of abstracts about any innovations, developments or good practice in any area of foundation training. Successful abstracts will be presented as either oral or poster presentations, or workshops. The deadline for submitting abstracts is Friday 23 March 2012. Please click here for more information and to download the abstract form. UKFPO/Wellcome Trust Foundation Doctor Academic Meeting

The UKFPO are once again jointly hosting a Foundation Doctor Academic Meeting at the Wellcome Trust, Gibbs Building, Euston Road, London on Thursday 8 March 2012. This meeting aims to provide foundation doctors with an insight into post-foundation academic training opportunities and the application process. Speakers include Sir Mark Walport, representatives from the funding bodies as well as current academic specialty trainees talking about their experiences of a clinical academic career. Each foundation school has been assigned a set number of places and are coordinating their own attendees, so if you are interested in attending please contact your foundation school directly. Please note that we would like to encourage trainees who are not currently following an academic programme.
