Changes to the e-portfolio for 2012
Please note that changes are currently being made to the e-portfolio, which will be implemented from July 2012. A list of the key changes will be available on this page by the end of March 2012.
Getting the most out of your e-portfolio
All foundation doctors now have access to an electronic portfolio (e-portfolio). There are two e-portfolio providers used to deliver the Foundation Programme e-portfolio across the UK: NES and Horus. Currently, all foundation schools in the UK except North Western use NES. You will find the contact details below for any enquiries you may have regarding your e-portfolio:
NES: support@nhseportfolios.org
Horus: j.miles@NWpgmd@nhs.uk
Your foundation school will provide you with the information you need on how to access your portfolio such as website address, log-in details and password. The exact format of each e-portfolio may vary but they generally include the following sections:
- Personal and Professional Development Plan (PDP)
- Meetings with your educational and clinical supervisors
- Workplace-based assessments
- Reflective reports and other evidence
-
Sign-off documents
**RESCHEDULED NES e-portfolio downtime to address Curriculum Issues**
It has been identified that not all August 2011 e-portfolio recommendations have been correctly embedded and are functioning as expected within the current NES e-portfolio. The UKFPO and NES are working together to ensure that all August 2011 recommendations are available to all users as soon as possible.
The first stage in addressing one of the problems is planned downtime of the e-portfolio. This has been rescheduled to allow for further testing and the deploy will go ahead tonight, Wednesday 31st August at 10pm. NES apologise for the late notification and thank you for your support to ensure that the matter is resolved.
