This week’s update includes:
- Application form clarification
- Registration reminder
Application Form Clarification
We’d like to make it clear that the information contained in the preferences page of the application form is not valid for this year. Up-to-date information on the number of vacancies and local students will appear on the form when applications open on 29 October.
Also, we originally believed that BMedSci degrees added only a couple of months to most undergraduate degrees and were given an unspecified class.
However, we have learned that this is not the case, and therefore if your BMedSci has extended your period of study by one year or more, it will be treated the same as a BSc/BA. Additionally, a BDS will only receive one point.
Registration
All medical students eligible for a UK Foundation Programme will soon be receiving details about registration from their registered medical schools, along with details regarding their quartiles. Registration will open on 29 October so please keep these details safe. Once applicants have registered on the website, the system will then send an e-mail confirming the registration. Once you’ve registered, you’ll also be able to view the details of all Foundation Schools across the country, along with the programmes they’re offering.
