The Foundation Programme 2008 application period is now closed. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all applicants and wish them well through the next stages of the process.
The technical team has confirmed that the website maintained 100% availability throughout the application period.
Foundation Programme Applicants: Next steps
Your application form will be sent to your first choice foundation school for scoring. This will take place between now and the end of December. The answers to the application form questions will be scored by panels of two people (including at least one clinician), using a set of national scorers guidelines. Your answers will be scored horizontally, meaning that each panel will only score one question at a time (i.e. all Question 2s; or all Question 3s) rather than scoring an entire application. The result is that each application is scored by a number of panels, which will ensure consistent and fair scoring for all applicants.
On 9 January, you will be notified of their overall application score and allocation to foundation school (if your application is successful).
Once allocated to a foundation school, you should check their website for how they will be matching you to a specific programme. Methods and deadlines will vary by foundation school.
