Application Process for the Foundation Programme 2008 - PowerPoint presentation
This presentation is now available on our website. It has an overview of the application process and timeline, advice on planning and preparation and information on scoring. It is intended for medical schools/ foundation schools staff to use in presentations to medical students. The presentation can be found on the faculty pages of our website.
National BMJ Careers Fair, 5/6 October 2007, Business Design Centre, London
Professor Derek Gallen is scheduled to give a talk on Saturday, 6 October, 12.15 13.15, which will include an overview of the Foundation Programme application process and practical advice on completing the application form. Attendees will have a chance to ask questions of a small Q&A panel which will include Dr Scott Oliver , (F2 doctor, Scotland ) and Carrie Moore (Director of Communications for UKFPO).
The UK Foundation Programme Office will also have an exhibition stand at the event, with staff available to answer queries. Do stop by and say hello to the team.
Whats new on our website?
This week, weve added a new FAQ for refugee doctors, as well as the application process PowerPoint presentation. You can also find out further information on limited registration with the GMC and how it affects applications to the Foundation Programme.
Over 40,000 people have visited our website since it first launched at the end of July and we now have over 2,500 subscribers to our e-updates.

Foundation Applicants Handbook 8 October
This comprehensive guide covers the application process and timeline, how to register, guidance on how to complete each part of the application form; including specific guidance on completing each scored question; how the forms are scored and when/how applicants will be allocated to a foundation school, and then matched to a programme.
