Key FP 2011 recruitment guidance published

On Monday 7 June the UKFPO published information on the main recruitment round for Foundation Programme 2011. Two resources are currently available:

The Foundation Applicant’s Handbook for FP 2011 is the definitive guide to applying to the Foundation Programme. It covers such topics as:
- The timeline & process
- Ensuring you are eligible to apply
- The FPAS application form
- Guidance on references
- Competition ratios for the past four years by foundation school
- How applications are scored
- What happens if there are more applicants than places available
- Plus much more!
The PowerPoint presentation provides a broad overview of the process. This will be a useful tool for medical school and foundation school staff to use as a basis for talks with their final year students before the recruitment process begins.
